Pearlas Velvet

Is an interior decorative suede metallic finish. Pearlas Velvet is designed to be an elegant very rich looking finish. With the metallic pigments and fine resins the plaster gives the appearance of a pearlescent paint with the feel of soft rich texture.

• Preparation:
  • Your walls should be clean and free of all imperfections.
  • Walls must be extremely smooth in order to achieve the "intended finish" however it is creamy enough to be rolled on and smoothed out with the milano tool (found here on Fauxmerchant) to create an equally beautiful look.
  • Pearlas Velvet is designed to be applied interior over existing walls or new prepared drywall.
  • For new drywall your walls should be first sealed with a drywall sealer primer. Then apply an even coat of Velvet Basecoat and let dry 4 to 6 hours.
  • The Velvet Basecoat is to be tinted to the same color that is desired for the Pearlas Velvet Topcoat.
  • Pearlas Velvet can be applied over Flat or Eggshell paint.  Scuff higher sheens for greater adhesion or use the Velvet basecoat tinted.
• Application: Once your surface has been prepared for the Velvet Basecoat you can brush, spray, or roll your basecoat on in an even manner. Once basecoat has dried you can apply the topcoat using different techniques. 
• Tinting: Pearlas Velvet can be tinted using toners or can be tinted to almost any color using Universal tints.
• Coverage: 4 liter basecoat 350 to 450 sq. ft.; 4 liter topcoat 300 to 400 sq. ft.
• Container: 1 liter and 4 liter
